There are recognitions that tell you where your brand currently is and then there are recognitions that make you look back at how far you have come.

For all of us at Karmic Beauty, winning Best Emerging D2C Brand of the Year at the e4m D2C Awards 5.0 was the latter.

On 10 September 2026, Karmic Beauty was awarded Best Emerging D2C Brand of the Year at the fifth edition of the e4m D2C Awards, held at The Leela Ambience Gurugram Hotel & Residences.

The Exchange4media Awards bring together brands, marketers and agencies shaping India’s direct-to-consumer ecosystem with recognition spanning innovation, marketing excellence, consumer connection and business impact.

For us, the category itself is significant.

Karmic Beauty was built around an idea that was still relatively unfamiliar in the beauty space & it was called Skin Longevity.

Most skincare brands have traditionally centred their approach around isolated visible concerns. It could be fine lines, pigmentation, dullness, hair fall, dandruff and so on. The solution usually follows the concern. Find an ingredient associated with it, formulate around that ingredient and measure the visible result but your skin does not work in isolated concerns.

Skin and scalp ageing are influenced by multiple biological pathways, environmental exposure and the skin’s own ability to protect and recover. UV exposure, pollution, oxidative stress, inflammation, barrier disruption and changes in collagen all become part of its reality over time.

That is where Skin Longevity changes the conversation.

Rather than asking only how to correct what is visible today, Skin Longevity asks how we can help skin remain healthy, resilient and capable for longer. It is a shift from an ingredient economy towards a biology economy and one that is increasingly finding its place in the wider beauty conversation.

The Work Behind the Recognition

An award is easy to photograph but the work that gets you there is considerably less glamorous.

For Karmic Beauty, the last year has involved countless rounds of reformulation, testing, product development and a complete evolution of the brand.

Our founder, Dr Vaibhav Mittal, has spoken openly about applying for the same e4m recognition the previous year and not receiving it. The experience became less a reason to step back and more a reason to raise the standard. A year later, skin longevity brand Karmic Beauty returned with a new brand identity, newer clinical grade formulations and extensive product testing.

That context makes the award particularly meaningful to us because the recognition came at a point when our brand was becoming clearer about what we wanted to build. Not another skincare brand competing for attention around the latest active but a brand centred on a different way of thinking about beauty and skin longevity.

What Comes Next

The e4m D2C Awards recognition is a milestone but it is not the destination.

Karmic Beauty is building towards a larger ambition which is to make Skin Longevity a meaningful part of everyday beauty, first in India and eventually across global markets.

That means continuing to invest in formulation science, developing proprietary technologies, understanding Indian skin more deeply and creating products that bring longevity research into everyday routines.

For us, the next chapter is about taking the idea further, bringing better science into everyday beauty and making Skin Longevity something people can understand, experience and live with every day.
